On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the University of Puerto Rico Comprehensive Cancer Center, we cordially invite you to the 28th International Papillomavirus Conference and Clinical Workshops in San Juan, Puerto Rico from November 30 to December 6, 2012.

The 28th International Papillomavirus Conference and Clinical Workshops will be held at the Puerto Rico Convention Center.  Architecturally  dynamic in structure and with beautiful spacious areas, the Puerto Rico Convention Center is the newest, largest and most advanced convention center in the Caribbean.

The International Papillomavirus Conference is sponsored by the International Papillomavirus Society (IVPS) and it is the largest and best well known HPV conference. The conference covers all aspects of HPV research attracting basic scientists, clinicians, epidemiologists, statisticians, behavioral and health promotion researchers, health economists, and advocacy groups. In recent years, the conference has attracted over 2,500 delegates from over 80 different countries.

The IVP conference in Puerto Rico will provide an opportunity to increase the awareness of the HPV scientific community on the burden of HPV infection and related conditions in Latin America and the Caribbean, and to discuss opportunities for its prevention and control. Bringing together the HPV-scientific community to this region of the world will stimulate new collaborations and strengthen old ones.

The program will consist of two pre-conference educational workshops (Clinical Workshop and Public Health Wordkshop) followed by the main conference program. The pre-conference workshops will be held from November 30 to December 2 and the main conference program from December 2-6, 2012. The Public Health Workshop will focus primarily on the HPV prevention and control efforts in Latin America, the Caribbean, and the US Hispanic Population.
